Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years sales experience, preferably in media sales. Base salary plus monthly commission. Strong communication skills and basic computer skills are necessary for this position.

Internships
Northern Ohio Live Magazine offers unpaid sales/marketing internships throughout the year.

Interns are asked to work a minimum of 12 hours per week, at least four hours per day. Duties include working with sales staff and marketing department to create advertising presentations, supply marketing materials upon request, track the status of existing advertising, utilize the phone to sell special advertising sections to clients and work on the various special marketing events that take place throughout the year.

Northern Ohio Live offers unpaid editorial internships during the summer, fall and spring.

Interns are asked to work at least 10 hours per week, at least three hours per day. Duties include regular administrative work, such as filing, research, fact checking and archiving. All interns are given the opportunity to write for the magazine; the objective of the internship is for each intern to leave with at least one published clip (usually more). Length and scope of writing assignments varies and depends on the opportunities at hand as well as the intern’s talent and enthusiasm for the work.

Application guidelines
Please use the following dates as a guideline for submitting materials. We know that school schedules and availability will vary, but these dates will help us to interview pools of applicants in a timely fashion.

• For summer internships (beginning May-June), submit materials by March 1
• For fall internships (beginning September), submit materials by July 1
• For spring internships (beginning January-February), submit materials by November 1
